Wrinkled Ridge Bloodhounds Health Guarantee


At Wrinkled Ridge Bloodhounds, we are committed to breeding healthy, sound, and well-adjusted AKC Bloodhounds. The following health guarantee is provided to ensure a clear understanding between breeder and buyer regarding the care and condition of your new puppy.


1-Year Genetic Health Guarantee


We guarantee your puppy to be free of life-threatening genetic or congenital conditions that would significantly affect quality of life or require euthanasia within one (1) year of birth. In the event such a condition is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian and confirmed by our vet, we offer either:

  • A replacement puppy from the next available litter of equal value, OR
  • A partial refund, at our discretion.

Veterinary Exam Requirement


To activate this health guarantee, you must have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours (3 business days) of pickup or delivery. Failure to do so voids this health guarantee.


Entropion Disclaimer


Due to the nature of the Bloodhound breed, we do not guarantee against entropion (inward turning of the eyelids), as it can be both inherited and environmentally influenced. While we selectively breed for sound structure and eye health, entropion is a known condition in the breed and is not covered under this health guarantee.


Included with Your Puppy


Each Wrinkled Ridge puppy will come:

  • Current on age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming
  • With complete veterinary records
  • With limited or full AKC registration, as agreed upon
  • Microchipped

Buyer Responsibilities


This guarantee will be void if:

  • The puppy has not received timely and appropriate veterinary care
  • The puppy has been abused, neglected, or subjected to poor living conditions
  • The puppy has been bred (if sold with limited registration)
  • Health issues arise due to injury, malnutrition, or environmental stressors

Deposits & Returns


Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a future litter at the breeder's discretion. If you are ever unable to care for your Bloodhound, we require that the dog be returned to us or that we are contacted to assist in responsible rehoming.


30-Day Return Policy (Partial Refund)


If, for any reason the buyer is dissatisfied with the puppy, the puppy may be returned within 30 days of purchase. The following conditions apply:

  • The puppy must be returned in good health with all original paperwork.
  • A veterinary evaluation may be required at the buyer’s expense to confirm the condition.
  • The buyer will receive a 50% refund of the original purchase price, excluding the non-refundable deposit.
  • All return and transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
  • No refunds will be issued after 30 days.
